Chamomile German Hydrosol, also known as Floral Water / Distillates, is distilled from the flowers of Matricaria recutita, and has a, dry, floral fragrance very similar to the actual flowering plant. It is one of the most gentle anti-inflammatory's of all the hydrosols. So gentle that it is one of only three hydrosols that Aromatherapists will recommend for use on the eyes.
Well known for its healing, soothing, effect on skin. Chamomile German Hydrosol, Matricaria recutita, is the absolute best choice for reactive and problem skin conditions, especially where there is inflammation and irritation. Great for sensitive, and acneic, skin types, especially inflamed acne.
In Aromatherapy Chamomile German Hydrosol, Matricaria recutita, has many uses but, is most commonly used in skin care geared toward problem skin. It is used clinically, in poultices, to treat varicose and thready veins. Chamomile German Hydrosol, Matricaria recutita, will have a definite softening effect when applied to skin. Combine Chamomile German Hydrosol, Matricaria recutita, with Witch Hazel Hydrosol for oily skin conditions, or with Lavender Hydrosol for inflamed skin conditions. Of course, for the quintessential soothing treatment, for both for the psyche and the skin, try combining with Chamomile Roman Hydrosol and a tiny amount of Chamomile Cape Essential Oil.

NOTE :: This hydrosol is not preserved so it is important to protect them from contamination, once opened. Always wipe the lip with alcohol after pouring. Never touch the lip of the bottle that you're pouring into with the lip of the main bottle. Never add back to the main bottle. Once poured out it should not be re-combined. You may add a water soluble preservative, such as Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate, to extend the shelf life.
